So did you believe him when he said that? No. Does every politician say that? Yes.

Is he killinng two birds with one stone, being a politician, pushing his healthcare agenda, and doing something that looks pretty bad? Yes.

I patently disagree. I do not believe that every politician does this. And we should always stand up and call them out when it’s done.

You don’t believe that every politician gets caught up in a little hypcrisy once in a while, and that the opposition always overplays it? Oh come on.

You think someone would say “I’m not gonna change Washington at all. Everything’s just great as it is.” No–he’s gonna say the opposite, and then use his political clout to get shit done.

I just can’t see John McCain allowing horse trading hundreds of millions of dollars in order to get a few votes while on his watch. And I can’t imagine him giving away a federal judgeship for a vote either. I know there are Republicans who are just as capable of this crap. It stinks. It’s rotten and don’t freaking like it. I’m really surprised that you have so casually dismissed this behavior like it’s part of the biz.

Hmmm…can you imagine him being part of the Keating 5? Or not vetting his completely unqualified VP pick? Or saying he thinks it is time to overturn Don’t ask Don’t Tell–until he has a conservative challenger in his own party who wants his seat, JD Hayworth? Come on, dude!
