No reply?

I was hoping to get a reply to the health care / illegals situation from you. Seriously. Here’s the string…

YOU: I am patently against anything like this. They are here illegally. Saying “they are here anyway” doesn’t work for me. And it’s not race baiting. That’s just your view of it.

ME: That, my friend, is rigid idealism in full swing.

Are the 11 milliion illegals going to leave the US and go home? No
Do all people need medical care? Yes
Is the ER the most expensive place to get primary care? Yes
Will illegals use the ER if they must? Yes

Simple logic man. Again, I am AGAINST illegal immigration. But I am looking for the best answers, not the most political or idealogical ones. You know that I am logically and fiscally correct on this.

You need to check your #s on this. It sounds like another brainwashing stat that is not accurate. Do you think the cost of emergency care is more than fully covering someone which includes: prescriptions, radiation, dialysys, knee replacements, mental health, brain surgery, diabetic maintenance, geinocology, colonoscopys, heart transplants and on and on. You are not thinking this through.

And no Jimmy Carter, I am not against this because Obama is black.

Here’s another poll that cracks the facade of what you are listening to:

That’s exactly my point–they will use those services–prescription, x-rays, etc. Better to have them insured, than not insured. If that’s not true, then nobody should have insurance.

I never said anything about race. What are you talking about?

You are against this–for whatever reason–but a lot of your points make no logical sense. Just like you couldn’t give me any answer about private and public universities competing. Come on…give me something.

  3. urstupidnourstupid Says:

Your not being logical here. There is no way that the cost of emergency care is more than full blown medical coverage. It’s actually one of the most ridiculous things that I have ever heard.

  4. urstupidnourstupid Says:

Jimmy Carter is the one who said that I’m against Obama’s policies because he is black.

Treating uninsured people is more expensive than treating insured people. True or False????????????????????????

  6. urstupidnourstupid Says:

Cite anything that shows that the overall cost of providing full coverage to someone is more cost prohibitive than care in the emergency room. I really don’t think you understand what goes on in the health care industry and what is covered. Like I said, the emergency room won’t cover prescriptions. Do you know how much prescriptions costs? Billions. The emergency room won’t send you to a specialist to consult with so you can have any endless # of specialty treatments. It’s not even close. You are way off.

The problem that could have been fixed with a $50 prescription becomes a $2000 bill becuse it was left untreated. Just like in dentistry–the $100 filling becomes a $1000 root canal because it was not taken care of.

Treating uninsured people is more expensive than treating insured people. True or False?

Just answer the question. A simple true or false choice.

  8. urstupidnourstupid Says:

False. Why is it that I always document my statements with sound research and you rarely do and if you do, you are wrong? You call it hyperbole or something else. Back up your original premise with anything. Dailykos,, anything.

  9. urstupidnourstupid Says:

I didn’t think i had to cite common sense, common knowledge. So treating people with insurance is more costly than treating people without insurance? Let me get this straight…you think having insurance makes things MORE costly? THEN WHY DO YOU HAVE INSURANCE!!! I can’t believe I’m having this conversation with you. I’m done. I quit…you won’t even concede common sense!! WTF??

  10. urstupidnourstupid Says:

That’s because you can’t cite it. I’ll consider you have conceded on this since you can’t cite it. Time to move on.
