I had no idea. Makes sense though, given all the other violence in the SW. I’m telling you–we have to decriminalize marijuana. It’s freakin’ ridiculous. Social conservatives…ha ha!! This is the type of thing that, if you gave citizens and politicians anonymous questionnaires about this (and other issues) I’d guess about 70% would say to decriminalize–but they don’t have the balls to do it.

Well I am open to legalizing marijuana but I don’t think it will make a bit of difference at the border. And I don’t think you would get a 70% approval of it either (maybe on the streets of Hillcrest and the cafeteria of UCSD). How about a strong border (a wall perhaps?).
This is just another failing of the Bush administration that will be perpetuated by the Obama team.

You are probably right. If Obama gave a presentation with a point-by-point of the pros and cons of legalization (and the war on drugs in general) and got beyond the silliness of it all, and pushed hard for decriminalization, he’d be my hero. But he won’t do it. Though maybe in 7 years when he’s nearly done and the issue has been on the table for a while…
You must be happy about the stem cell reversal. I certainly am.
So you are pro-choice, pro gay marriage, pro marijuana legalization, pro stem cell, anti death penalty…don’t look now Binley–but you are a flaming Liberal!!! 🙂

It’s called Libertarian. Please, please don’t mix the two up!!! 🙂
